Look how much the world’s thinking has changed not only the meaning and reason for Christmas, but people’s view of God, Jesus, and the Gospel.

I was talking to another Pastor at my "satellite office." (yes, Starbucks) He said this, "Did you ever notice how that $100 is a lot of money when you bring it to church, but it is not enough when you take it to the mall?"

Notice how some people tend to think God becomes smaller and less powerful when there is a problem that seems overwhelming.

Notice how some people tend to think God runs away when He is needed the most.

Notice how some people tend to think God is not able to do something He sets out to do.

But watch what happens.

We serve a God who is bigger than the universe.

We serve a God who is more powerful than any force in the universe.

We serve a God who knows more about the past, knows what is going on today, and knows what will happen all the way to eternity in the future.

We serve a God who was present at the creation of the universe, is present with us today, and will remain faithful to His creation for eternity.

We serve a God who is faithful and just to forgive.

We serve a God who is more than able in all ways and in every thing.

This is Deaf Café weekend. We serve a God who wants His Gospel shared and experienced. We are not only TRUST God to work, but we KNOW God will act to bring glory to Himself.

We serve a God who is glorified through our remembering this is the time His Son came to earth.

We serve a God who is glorified through His Son’s birth in a manger.

We serve a God who is glorified through His Son sitting at God’s throne.

We serve a God who is glorified through Deaf Café bringing the Gospel to a world that does not want to accept God’s grace.
