The Plan Of Jesus

I am sorry this is a little late.

What happened when Jesus returned to the glory of heaven after his journey on earth? Of course, we, having limited knowledge do not know. But a picture comes to mind.

After Jesus’ earthly ministry with its cruel cross and shameful death, He returned home to heaven and came through the front door to a joyous reunion.

The angel Gabriel approached Him and said, "Master, you must have suffered terribly for men down there."

"I did." Jesus said.

"And," continued Gabriel, "Do they know all about how much you loved them and what you did for them?"

"Oh, no," said Jesus, "not yet. Right now only a handful of people around Jerusalem know."

Gabriel was perplexed.

"Then what have you done," Gabriel asked, "to let everyone know about your love for them and the gift of eternal life they can have only by faith in you?"

Jesus said, "I've asked Peter, James, John, and a few more friends to tell other people about me. Those who are told will in turn tell other people about me, and my story will be spread to the farthest reaches of the globe. Ultimately, all of mankind will have heard about my life and what God sent me to do."

Gabriel frowned and looked rather doubtful. He knew well what poor stuff men were made of.

"Yes," Gabriel said, "but what if Peter and James and John grow weary? What if the people who come after them forget? What if from now until you go back to the earth people just don't tell others about you? Haven't you made any other plans?"

And Jesus answered, "I haven't made any other plans. I'm counting on them."

Twenty-one centuries later that is still Jesus' plan. Jesus is counting on you and I to continue to make HIS name the known to the world. He is depending on us to continue the work so many have faithfully carried out before us.

Will we continue to tell the story of Jesus to those we meet?

Someone told me about Jesus.

Someone told you about Jesus.

Share Jesus today.

" Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)
