God's Plan For You

In just about everything we do from the time we are born until the time God calls us home, we make plans or someone is trying to plan something for us. We practice. We like to think we know what an outcome will be. Most times we do. Some times we do not and are surprised when things do not turn out exactly the way we expected. What do we do?

No matter how much we plan, No matter how much we practice, We only think we know the outcome. Guess what? God already knows the outcome. He knows when we will not follow Him and His will. He knows when we have success. He knows when we have failure. God knows we are born into sin. God knows the only answer to that sin is faith in His Son Jesus Christ. God knew us from before creation and if we accept Jesus as Savior, we will enjoy fellowship with God after the earth is gone. How long is forever? Nobody knows. God has a plan for every part of His creation. He knows our name. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

It becomes easy to lose sight of this. God has His plan for us. We like to think we have a plan for ourselves. But someone else has a plan for our life. Satan also has a plan for our life: Doubt - To make us question God’s word and His goodness; Discouragement - To make us look at our problems rather than at God; Diversion - To make the wrong things seems attractive so that we will want them more than the right things; Defeat - To make us feel like a failure so that we don't even try; Delay - To make us put off doing something so that it never gets done.

God says we are to focus on Him and His plan for our life. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)

Next week is God's November Deaf Cafe program. Let's focus on His good plan.
